COMBO

COMBO, or “COMBO Culture Kidnapper”, is an artist from Paris. His work focuses mainly on the art of deliberate misappropriation: he manipulates visuals that are familiar to all,  combining them with unknown and unexpected elements - principally from the world of comics or video games - that radically alter their meaning. His obsession: interaction. The choice of the street and images that are immediately recognisable speak of his desire to offer art to all - one that can be appropriated and shaped, in a process of constant change.

While invoking symbols of pop culture, COMBO refers directly to the injustices of our society. His unique perspective on the world around us is both subversive and engaged, but never moralizing.
