Beautés Sauvages

Beatriz Padilla

Beautés Sauvages

Beatriz Padilla is a Mexican painter whose work was born out of a revolt the day she became aware that the water resources of her hometown Mexico City were going to run out, and that the culprit was man and deforestation. She then left to draw from the depths of nature, travelling to Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Brazil, Chile, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Gabon, the USA and Europe, discovering the colours, shapes, and signs of energy that abound in the natural world. This journey continued for more than eight years. Each encounter inspired a unique work, a dialogue between the soul of a place and this committed artist.
