In the era of globalisation, the influence of migration on our society seems more important than ever. Above all it is an encounter, and as such it gives rise to misunderstandings, tensions, rejections, and in some cases the manipulation of these feelings. Yet immigration and multiculturalism are not new occurrences, especially in France. Throughout the ages, they have enabled the mutual enrichment of cultures. Today, they continue to give rise to the gradual but certain emergence of a collective culture, constantly reinvented by its members, and to propose new, innovative and constructive approaches to the way that our societies face the challenges of our times.
French Kiss aims to explore this French multiculturalism of “living together” and to underline its formidable creative force.
