Originally from the Pyrenees, Cécile Gayraud, also known as GRAY, began hercareer as an architect. After eight years in the field, she decided to pursue her truepassion: textiles and fashion. From her architectural training, she brought arigorous approach and a deep understanding of structural systems into her newcraft.
Cécile honed her fashion design skills at the Chardon-Savard workshop, whereshe created her first ready-to-wear women's collection. This collection featuredelegant, feminine garments adorned with fine metallic gold mesh. Just a year later,she was selected in the accessories category at the 33rd Hyères Festival, whereshe presented a collection of seven intricate jewelry pieces. Each piece, madewith hundreds of fine wires meticulously hand-crimped together, takes shape onthe body, transforming into wearable works of art.
In 2019, Cécile established her own studio, where she applies her multidisciplinarydesign approach to developing exceptional materials for luxury brands. Hercollaborations include work with Hermès and Lemarié, part of the Chanel group. At the same time, she continues to refine her metal weaving technique, which hasbecome her signature style.
