Hélène Tschacher

Former president of the International Association of Paper Artists, a unique organization founded in Germany in 1986, Hélène Tschacher transforms catalogs, newspapers, maps and other documents printed during the industrial era into "archaeological objects". According to the German artist, "information has become inflationary. We have the illusion that we can find anything, anytime, anywhere. Her paper works claim to interrupt this "permanent flow of data and consolidate this overflow of data in order to transform everything into a form of information waste."
