Lor-K

Lor-K uses urban waste to create ephemeral street sculptures. She locates bulky items and transforms them, before re-abandoning them back where they were discovered. Through her original and unusual methods, she transforms our waste by offering it a new identity shaped and staged in the heart of our cities.

In the streets, her projects materialise in the form of sculptures, where the object and its space are co-dependent. Anchored in a specific place, time and context, each urban creation is predestined to disappear at the will of the rhythm of the cities. In her studio, Lor-K keeps photographs, prototypes, videos, malleable sculptures and even written pieces that allow her creative process to be transcribed into an exhibition space.
